Thread: Does sub domain affect PR of site

I have a domain xyz.com and want to open up a directory under abc.xyz.com , Will this affect seo and PR of my main blog xyz.com . In eyes of google, is abc.xyz.com and xyz.com/abc same ?

Search engines consider subdomain as a separate domian. So, your main website wont be affected

No the PR wont be passed from main domain to the sub domain unless you link them together and Google sees them as two seperate domains.
