Default Best Broadband in Mohali, Chandigarh

    Hi folks,

I'll be soon shifting to Mohali,Chandigarh. Just want to know anybody from that region who can help me out, with the best Broadband service provider. I have asked my relatives over there, according to them BSNL is the best one but it took ages to get one connection.

Admin, your roots are in Punjab, so must have some links in Mohali. Can you help?

I thought that the debate did not exist - BSNL or Airtel. If BSNL is available, no need to look beyond. I have had irritating experiences but when it works (80% uptime for me), it is charming.

Get a wimax connection Reliance or Tata as they will not take more then a weeks time to provide a connection

Bsnl and airtel are good aswell... You might also be interested in Connect broadband whihc is available in Punjab but you would need to visit the local office there.

I have queried about Airtel connection the guy is asking me to opt from the following two:

    1. Plan 599 : 128 speed, unlimited usage and download, one airtel connection free with 100 pulse call free per month. No installation charges, At the time of taking connection I have to pay 150 bucks. Monthly Charges will be 599+Tax

    2. Plan 799 : 256 speed, unlimited usage and download, one airtel connection free without any free calls. 500 installation charges which we refunded in your three bill cycles, 200 will be refunded for three month which means 600 bucks, means at the time of taking connection i need to pay 500. Monthlty Charges will be 799+Tax

Please suggest which one will be better

If you dont download much I guess 128kbps is not bad for browsing and even downloading small files.

If you are planning on running torrents day and night then 256kbps would be better as you would need more speed to download large files.
