You have to use a security key wep or wpa.

give more details of the PRONET wifi modem/router ,
    supplied by Hathway.

Specifications of ADSL2 Router :: ADSL products :: from Pronet :: Kunhar Peripherals Pvt Ltd
Please post screen as Annexure of Device status as a jpg picture.

For reference see 7a for wireless security.

You have to use a security key . WPA
Do you find any other wifi network
( either secured or unsecured ) in your
"Show available wireless network "Page ?

    For reference use this site.
Chennai Telephones- Changing password in DataOne Pre-configured modem

If you post screenshot of the Device status of your PRONET
modem equivalent model can be tried with similar settings page.

SSID : "PRONET"changing it will not make any difference to security.
it is only a name for ref. Mine is KK

Thanks for reply. As soon as I have applied WPA security with key, I am unable to access internet as well as my router configuration using 192.168.1.1 . I am having config.bin of working configuration but I am not able to access router using the IP. It displays wireless connection WPA protected. And as soon as I try to connect it, it refuses the connection. What I need to do in order to get it back? Thanks.

Default 3 in one Pronet model No. _________

For this modem/router no data available with me.
post screen shot of device status.
or confirm it is similar to wa 3002-g4
( see screen shots in earlier link given by me )

any problem you have to recheck
    wireless settings in modem.
or reset the router and start afresh.

Presume , now you connect LAN1 to computer ( laptop )
    to surf.

    Hi,
As I am not able to access 192.168.1.1, I am not able to take screenshot of status. What I need to do is to restore the router to factory settings. I tried to reset the router by pressing black button that is available on the back side of router but it is not resetting the router as I checked it by resetting my router and refreshed the available wireless networks list, it gives me still WPA protected network list. I even removed my previous network configuration from my os and tried to re-load them but I am not able to do so. Please help me. I got stuck at this point. Thanks once again.
