Thread: Insted of Hathway opt for MTNL triband

Guys,

Hathway is cheating customers by charging more money and giving less speed.Their customer care is also not good.
They do not disclose new cheaper plans to existing customers, and charging same old high fee for their plans.
Insted go for MTNL triband service...great speed, very low price and peace of mind.

I have had a horrible experience with them. But that was few years ago. Since then I have kept everything with the name Hathway several miles away and have warned others about them. We even disconnected their cable service after the incident.

In a nutshell - the connection worked ok for like 20 days and after that not a single day. They did not refund the 6 months advance either, despite follow ups, etc., etc.

how can u say that they dont disclose new plans even im a hathway user & everytime they introduce a new plan they distribute leaflets about it to everyone with respect to pricing and speed its same as mtnl

Hello Vinit,
I stay in Mumbai Suburbs, In my locality neither they distribute any kind of plan promotional material nor they keep update of plans on their website.
But sometimes they do send some crappy insurance offers leaflets with their monthly bill..

I literally was paying double the charges for almost a year, until i visited their office i came to know the same plan cost nearly half for the new subscribers...
Hope, I was their privileged customers(bakraa) for more then 4 years so they were charging me double the amount...

Even if u check their site...only 3 tariffs plans are mentioned there..such a pathetic service!!

if u are really facing problems then you can change over to mtnl but beware that triband is good as long as there is no breakdown if you face a problem then the situation is very bad it takes a long time to get the problem rectified and the linemen and engineers dont have expertise in broadband technology

Yes Andy. I too faced the same problem of paying excess amounts for the plan I choose. Infact I was paying double for the same service. Even they dont update their tariff plans on their site nor do they educate or inform their existing customers about their latest plans by posting pamphlets. Nor their Customer Service staff is aware fully about what plans they have with them.

I have an unlimited plan of 256kbps at present. But last 10 days, I am very much upset with my connection speeds. Mind you, speed is very worst. When I called the Service Center, they say that unlimited usage is only upto 5GB per month but they didnt inform me until I called them personally.

Is 5GB unlimited for those who opt for unlimited plans????? Download of 3 dvd films expires the validity...

I had 21 KBps download spped and 4 KBps upload since past 2 months i called many times hathway CC but those idiots say connection is fine change ur laptop.....i test my laptop with collge ISP(airtel) i get 10MBps download on laptop...All technical person of hathway are jackass ..i switched to BSNL BB....i request all the Internet user not to take HATHWAY at any cost

that thing is called fair usage policy

btw on sundays u will get normal speeds

and on a 256kbps plan the max speed u can get is 64kbps
