Hi all

i have been trying my level best in all the ways to get this phone working with my hathway cable internet connection but have failed completely and looking for some expert help here.

The VoIP ports are opened from hathway as per my request but it still does not work.

1) When i connect the linksys directly to the cable modem the power light keep blinking and it does not get an IP address.

2) When i connect to router it blinks for some time and then becomes solid (internet and power light) but the phone linw is not on at all.

As per the connection and as per Hathway and starhub people this is suppose to work.

Now, here is my doubts? Do i need to do port forwarding? and if i have to do then where and how does it work? i am not good at this you see.

Please help me. Every bit of your great help is much appreciated cuz its been a month that i started breaking my head on this

Another question: Do i need to buy any specific phone for this? i have a panasonic TG3600 cordless phone
