Default Hathway broadband highly irresponsible sales person

I recieved this e-mail from one of our visitors a few days back and read it today as I was going through my e-mails. I am not sure why the gentleman used the contact us form instead of posting this himself on the forums but any way here it is.. (I crossed out the mobile number to avoide any abuse and to abide by the Indian applicable laws)


Dear all,

A person from hathway called Mr.Rajasekar(98402-xxxxx) came to my house on 03.03.07 at 9.30am and got Rs.1684 from me for giving unlimited usage internet pack for day and night at 512 kbps speed. But in bill he has mentioned only from 11pm to 9am the unlimited package and for morning its only 3GB. And he promised me that connection will be given before 7pm on the same day.But no one came to give connection. When call the cable operator for connection he said that Mr.Rajasekar told me that he has got three days time from you which i never said. And the person(Rajasekar) have stored my mobile number and he never attend any of my calls. I called him from some other number and caught him and said him atleast with in today i should get your connection if i didnt get ur connection within 5th march i dont need of your connection any more. He was not at all bothered about my words. And he never came back. I have even lodged a compalint against him in his office. So far the action is not taken up and it proves a highly irresponsibleness of the Sales person Mr.Rajasekar and customer care employees. I need the action to be taken against this immediately and return my money back.

Default Lousy Hathway sales guy

Just came across this mail about the bad experiance a user had on getting a new hathway connection. I had a similar experience, only that I realised that the sales person was a lousy guy.. and since I was in no hurry to get a broadband right away I asked him not to waste my time by simply calling and asking me "can I come over and collect the cheque?"

Hathway is doomed to fail. And I feel no one from the management really cares about it!!

It depends. I have never faced a problem with them. I usually Send them mail regarding my problems and they reply with a call within 24 hrs , with the solved solution. May be in your area its like that. I am lucky to be one over here.

You are an exception mate, may be just lucky. I already have some friends from work who have also complained.

I have BSNL now, though they install at their own pace, there are no issues till now. But its too early to tell...

I also got hathway and as far as i know no ISp can give u in a day unless you are a VIP or they need you like god.Never pay money unless net starts working.And as far as i know the plan is 512 kbps for 4 gb usage.Maybe they provide night unlimited.But i dont think so they have 512 unlimited day and night!!what they rae interested is in having customers rather than having there problems.Once money is in there hand...god knows what they get up to.Do one thing.Go to there office.knock them out with few whips and they will be alright with ur desired settlement.

I live in Shipra Sun City, Ghaziabad. Here Hathway broadband is provided by the local cable-wallah. He charged me 750/- (non-refundable) for the installation; the plan I opted for is 128 kbps - Night Unmilited (9PM - 9AM; and Sundays whole day). But I can't surf during days.

I got the connection the same day I applied for it. Haven't worked much on it so can't comment right now about the speeds etc. Will update later.

I called a hathway internet connection sales person in mobile No.99529-88884 by viewing a banner ads. I requested them for a new connection. They took my details and told me that they will call me after checking feasibility. NO one called me till now and no response from them. I want to take necessary action and a responsible sales person to call me and do me needful.

Yeah I agree wid u in that case coz If I download any file at night naa.....then in the Browser I get a speed of around 25-40kbps Fluctuating.......but If I download a torrent file with some good seeds and leechers than my speed does touches the mark of 60 and sometimes rarely 70.

I called up for the problem. They visited my house.

They connected my connection to their Laptop and the same file they were getting a speed of around 45-50 in Browser itself. So, can anybody tell me what is the problem I am facing.
