Thread: Is Hathway Bull$hitting?

My local cable guy from Hathway says that there are new government regulations that do not allow "Always on" connection, and I have to sign in with a password to the Hathway modem everytime I want to use the internet.
Is this true? Is there a workaround?
I have a VOIP phone and need the internet connection on at all times. Can anyone recommend other options?

i saw that thing on their website thats crazy why the hell would any one want to sign in everytime i dont know about the government regulation

what if a router is set with username/password. that should stay connected for good.
Wonder why so much secrecy? They have users details. and person intending for misuse/hacking will anyways do it.
Why don't they work on improving the services. its gone pathetic since last one month or so.

If it was a PPPoE login, then entering the password in the router would have worked but now "$hitway" (Hathway) here has made login compulsory through its own page! How should I make the router connect?

ANY SOLUTION ???
