I go with 9. They reply within 24hrs after we have complaint...........they say 24 but reply in around 3-5hrs.
had u experienced this network as a service provider.....

THE MOST HORRIBLE SERVICE PROVIDER
With great pain I report please do not go for Hathway cable internet. I have suffered for 4 years, still suffering for the refund of my deposit. I have discontinued the service from October 2008. Still Hathway people are not ready to refund my deposit, or even to reply my phone calls but they are sending the bills regularly
Now I made-up my mind that I have paid the deposit Amount to Hathway beggars, they are so poor.
But why do u have to complain when the internet service is to be on 24/7. They do respond quickly and set right ur problem if it is from their end.
The max speed i get is 114kbps only when downloading form micorsoft sites. And mind you i have a 1mbps connection. What bull?
I think the service varies a lot from palce to place.
I have a 256kbps UL plan and I get speed of 27-31kBps,fair enough.
The connection downtime is also less and their customer care response is also ok.
But they do block access to certain servers I feel.
hi i am using hathway since last 2 yrs....my problem is quite different....first i had a 512kbps u/l package....it used to work say fine....no issues regarding connectivity....
lately i upgraded it to what they say is the 600 kbps superway line here in Vadodara, Gujarat...now the speed is simply great but am having connectivity problems....either day their system is getting upgraded....or they simply they say they will check....and they do seem to prompt quickly also.... but this happens quite frequently also.....which again is a pain....
lately i found that as soon as i place my complain....the fellow tells me that it will be done in a while and before my call ends i start seeing the progress in my download manager....and rather than being happy about it i started wondering about the matter....and did a bit of R n D.....and i discovered a big fraud out of it....i simply bribed the technician of our area and he was also a bit free with me and told me about the throttleing they do......
throttleing is simply they see and they control our speed in between for u/l plan clients...as in they have a throttling software which shows them the details of the client like how much time is the client connected to the server and how much has he downloaded...after a while they will put u to a busy line where u wont get much speed....and after that they will simply give u no connectivitybut ur network connection will show u a connected status only....even if u browse any other site it wont get access....
and when u log a complain they will simply tell u to restart ur computer or they will tell u to take ur cable out of ur modem and fix it again so by default in their software u will be connected......or they will manually connected u if we are on the call.....
for which i think they are cheating the clients in a big way...............
but hey u fools(hathway staff) i found a new way i simply put in a habbit to restart my pc twice in a day.....hahaha....

Hi,
I had a pre-paid a/c from Jul-Aug ’07 till end of May ’09. During this period, I repeatedly received emails saying that I had a payment of Rs.158.08 due. I informed Customer Care numerous times that that wasn’t possible, since we didn’t have a post-paid connection. Every time I was assured that it was an error in the system & would be rectified. Till today I get those emails.
I shifted out of my previous residence by Jun ’09 & found the shifting charges of the broadband too expensive. I was told by Customer Care/Hathway marketing team that I could discontinue my old account, get back my security deposit (after submission of the modem) & take a new Hathway connection. They reasoned that this would work out to be less expensive and so i took a new account and submitted the modem of the old a/c.
For nearly 4 months I have been following up to get back the security deposit I was promised. Now billingbangalore@hathway.net & bangalorehelpdesk@hathway.net have smartly stopped responding to any emails I write in this regard. This show of unprofessionalism doesn’t surprise me anymore.
I have even complained to the So Called "Nodal Officer" but yet to elicite a response from their end. This has been a harassing experience & per my personal experience would never suggest anyone to start a relationship with Hathway.

I swear on god never use hathway! They stills end me bills for their own mistakes.

In my area service is excellent. Wen i call customer care they come within 24hrs or sumtimes 1hr. But the speed does not exceed.Other provider such as airtel the speed is more than mentioned in the plan
quality of hathway boatdband service varies from region to region somewhere its excellent some where its the worst one so check with the other users in your area about quality of service then go for it

in tamil nadu its on the verge of collapse, better not to have one.
i will give 10 to them. m from gujarat. i used to play online games. they have no packet loss and ping jitting is also very less. main thing is ping flux is very loss and no packet loss so online gamin is very nice experience here. doesnt matter speed. and customer care is awesome. so 10/10.

Very good service in my area in Mumbai
i hav been using it for years now.
yes sometimes networks go down but most of the time it is automaticaly rectified in may be 20-30 Min or if i need it i just have to call them and they rectify it on the spot unless there is some major network problem.
But in case of major problems it goes down for many hour sometime a day.
and frequency of major problems are approx once a month max.
AND as cswap19 said if u r a online multiplayer games fan then hathway is the best for u, others dont provide low and constant & stable ping.
i play COD4, CS on Garena & will also play COD6, Battlefield Bad Company 2 as soon as the multiplayer crack comes out.
its 10/10 for me

I completely agree with u...i have taken the connection paying 3 months rental in advance....I was told that its a post-paid connection while taking connection and Unlimited plan.....Well again 2 months i have got the bill, i dont understand wat the hell???? If its an error ,let them fix it...they asked me to ignore...now when i did the same...my connection is disconnected and i am told to pay the bill again???
I dont understand how they still keep cheating ppl....i have never got a honest reply either from customer care or anyone from Hathway...every 1 is a trained lier......
NEVER GO FOR HATHWAY CONNECTION EVEN FOR FREE...
