Rep Power: 2  |  Static IP For all Hathway users? I have heard from some sources that Hathway is offering static IP for all the users that are having Hathway connections, regardless of the tarriff they are in, is this true. In BSNL only business and high tarriff connections can avail static IP. I was surprised to hear that hathway has this offer, is this really true?  |

Rep Power: 2 | i dont think people like having a static IP....a dynamic IP is much better ..specially for people downloading from rapidshare and other file hosting services...i myself have had hotwire which provide static ip and wasnt happy at al..had to wait ifor hours to get the file downloaded and what not.... |

Rep Power: 2 | mine had s static IP as well... but what's bugging me al this time is what is the different between static and dynamic IP? what i only know is static IP don't change (fixed) and dynamic does. but what's the problem? i still can access smoothly... can anyone help? |

Rep Power: 3 | For most of the users like me, we dont want static ip. Because for most of them who are engaged in online business do not prefer static ip. Some of my partners are in hathway and they suffer the problem. For downloading and all , i used to change my ip and do it. But they will not be able to do so. Also if i have any problems in my account, i do not bother to close it and create a new one. Others cannot do so. |
