    Default Hathway broadband auto login

Agree with admin, even I had faced the same issue, however I did tackle it after some 'googling' on it though.

Hathaway uses, browser based login system(As admin said), and also it works all fine as long as the existing session you have established via PC/Laptop, however once its down, you no longer can use WiFi, since every time you gonna surf, it would end up redirecting you to the login page.

Here is how I managed to bypass the login page issue.

Make sure to do the below steps on PC/Laptop and not on handheld devices(e.g. Mobiles, Tabs)

Enter the default WiFi router address in the browser URL. For e.g. mine is (192.168.1.1) for my TP Link tl‑wr740n router.

You will be prompted to login with your credentials. In case if you haven't changed, the default username and password would be "admin" (without quotes).

Once logged in go to the settings page and there you will get an option, to select your broadband type. Let it be on Auto Mode, so it would determine the connection type automatically.

Now, on the same page, go to the advanced settings, and insert your HATHWAY username and password in the respective fields.

Also, make sure to enter the HOST name(if provided any), since it would later trigger for your WiFi to validate when the existing connection via PC/laptop stops.

Once done with all, just save the settings and restart the PC & Router manually.

    That's it, you are done.

Let us know if this works...

P.S. The mentioned steps could differ from router to router, as I mentioned earlier, this is what my home remedy.
You could tweak a little bit with yours to find the similar sort of options. In case, if you run into any trouble, don't worry, there is a RESET OPTION on every WiFi Router(Both Hard/Soft)

    Good luck...!!!

I tried it with my Hathway connection but no luck

ISPs make it difficult to stay online 24/7 be having this login crap so they can save some bandwidth and increase profit margins. What they do not realize is that they damage their own reputation and a customer would only stay with them until they do not have a better option and the day there is another option the customer would be gone and never to return back.

Are you still having the login screen popup? Last year I set up a script to help keep the connection up (I shared it here in another thread), but right now I'm here in Bangalore and haven't needed the script at all and haven't seen the login screen either.
