Thread: Hathway is the best !!!

3 cheers to hathway...they are the best... people...all Indians and NRI's...go for hathway.... and suffer... I have not been able to check my usage since past 3 months and everytime I call cs they tell me... it will be sorted in 2 days.... hehehehe so I always tend to go over my limits 3 GB even if I do not download anything at all after 7.00 am ...hahaha and its only the renewal guys who admit saying "Sir, the blast 512 package has some problem... some of the customers who even download in day do not seem to get any bill and some even if they do not download anything seem to use up their allowance.....but Sir do not worry... it will be sorted in 2 days time... what u could do.. is renew your package and the extra what U are paying will be adjusted once the problem is sorted" sounds funny isn't it ? well NOT REALLY !!

I am using blast 512 (11.00 pm to 8.00 am unlimited)... and I can see the speed decrease to avg 3 kbps after 11.00 pm and increase to about avg 20 kbps after 9.00 am... so they indeed play with the bandwidth.
and if U complaint they will guide U to a site which is dedicated to Hathway to perform a fake download test.....where u will indeed see a speed of abt 60 kbps even if U are not literally downloading under normal circumstances....so My People and fellowbeings... please opt for hathway and suffer so that it eases my pain when I realise that someone else is sharing my pain too......and we all go to hell which would make the devil happy.

PS: People who want to hide their income or people who have lots of money to spend... Please take a hathway connection... then U do not have to bother if 2 mbs download takes U about 1:56:03 time to download ... because all U will lose is ur money and time ... thats all.... so cheers

And those who say.. they are happy or extremely delighted with Hathway BB are either lying or are marketting/renewal pimps from hathway

I would certainly like to add compliments to a wonderful tech supp team... who can tell u nothing but to reboot ur modem and computer and tell U abt ur ip settings.... need a place in an IT industry where U do not need to know anything except the above mentione two things... apply to hathway.... but remember... the maximum they would pay U is around 3k to 4k with a complimentary bottle of oil...to ease the friction when someone hits them

gawd i m havin very gud speeds with 256 ul and very happy with it..i was thinkin abt shiftin 2 a 11 to 9 512kbps one....but your experience again has made me scared...i ll stick with 256 kbps ul i guess

I recently got myself the 999 plan for airtel and since I have already paid for the hathway (because they take money in advance for 3 months) so I am also continuing with hathway till I use it, because I know to cancel it in midst and asking for refund would cost me a million calls and a few billions of emails and trillions of headaches. And please keep thinking, we need people with a good presence of mind too.

A good decision I admit coz trust me....just yesterday I received a call from their tech supp who in the begining promised me that she will resolve my problem (because I had jotted in the email that I would likely cancel the account) all I wanted was to know, what my usage was, she put me on hold for about 6 minutes and then came back giving the same **** which everybody else was giving me for the past 2 months of upgrading of some software - only gawd know what software. Then when I asked her to put me across to her supervisor she admitted that that was a common problem with the blast 512 package. When I persisted to speak to her supervisor as she could not help me she advised me to change the package and then cut off the line. The simple logic is if she had given me a call she would have called again if the call disconnection was unintentional.

So I conclude saying either stick to the same plan (if U are happy with what U get) or if U want better speed go for some other isp.

oh ya...i ll stick with it but my laptop is on for almost 6 hours and 15 hours in the whole week with a timely restart....also i pay 1118 for one month with tax...but service is awsome really

i meant my lappi is OFF for 2 hours per day only!!!but i ll stick 2 995 ul i guess

I took 512 blast plan .Yes they play with the bandwidth and abt the nightunlimited ,dont get me started on this i mean its worse than dialup ,5-6 kbps transfer rate .

I have a 256 unlimited plan from hathway for the past 1 year.

They do take money in advance...

Their customer support is =0

After a long time i had to be abusive on the phone to them.

I WAS WRONG ABOUT HATHWAY!!!!

They are worse than i thought.
There was a line problem, few days back they were cheeky enough to say the problem exists every where in my area !!!!!GOD............

Instead of fixing the problem and giving a approx time estimate, as to how long it might take to solve. The bugger says i am imagining things. GAVE HIM A NICE talk about networks and modems and human stupidity.

The hathway internet connection stops suddenly in the eveings.... and i have a 256 KB unlimited plan.

I have asked them to refund my money. as if they will.

Hathway decided to change from their Static IP to Dynamic IP.

Strange they failed to mention it.
I called them ..... SURPRISE, the call center guys have also become technical!!!!..They solved my problem and released my IP from their end.

It is definately not 256k any more, speeds have dropped to about 20kbps now.

Went to this web site, to the feedback section. i typed a few words and clicked submit. The page does not work.

There are no proper tariffs plans shown on their web site.

They seem to be taken over by the Raheja Group!!!

They have a lot of information about Directors and Teams, but ZERO about their services. It's Time they closed Down..

Its not just Hathway, there's hardly any ISP in India that offers quality service to its customers.

But no doubts that Hathway sucks when it comes to CC support or download speed
