Default How to use Hathway Internet On 2 PC

i have 2 computers, Laptop and desktop. my internet connects only on my laptop. but when i try to connect on my desktop, iot does'nt work... so plz tell me how to use....

Hello sir, you can broadband router and configure interent to the router and use it, desktop can use with wire and laptop can use as wirless.

no, i have no broadband and router, i connect through hathway cable.

You have to buy broadband router or you make one pc as server and share the internet via lan.

Broadband telephone modem/router is different from cable internet modem/router.

@azharnadeem2005, I am not very familiar with cable internet but try PPPoE setup. If that is not possible you can use internet connection sharing (ICS) as follows:

Hathway <--> Cable Modem <--> 1st Computer <--> 2nd Computer

- 2nd computer connects to internet thru the first computer.
- 1st computer must always be ON and connected to hathway
- 2nd computer must be connected to 1st computer via LAN crossover cable

Please ask whitestar_999, skap or superprash who are experts at these things.

In the broadband router there is a option of pppoe where the uername & password is logged in everytime, u dont have to on any pc, only on the router,any pc get accessed to the internet.
