Get a cheap netgear .. mine cost me something like a thousand rupees .. cant remember exactly how much and its been working fine for the last two years or so..

They are all the same as long as you are not into transfering gigs and gigs of data from one computer to the other inside your LAN.. a 54mbps one will do the job very well.

Its good and costs twice as compared to a netgear.. but if you dont have anything special which only a Linksys can do then why spend so much money.. more over netgear comes with a one year warrenty aswell and so does all others so hardly any difference that way.

    Any one else on this?

as admin suggested netgear i agree here.. netgear is a like cheap n best router available in market.. and i really like this router coz its very user friendly apart from that you can get any netgear 54Mbps router.
please mind that as you are using hathway so you need a router only not a modem router coz modem router is expensive thn router only and that is something which is not required in your case so when you go to buy one... just tell shopkeeper that you need a router only.. not the modem router

I have a Linksys WRT54G but on my last visit to USA, I purchased Airlink 101 Wireless for $9.99 + tax. I am using it now.

So agree. No need to purchase costly branded ones. Netgear and D-Link modems are just as good

Only one: DSL-502T_GenII_Manual.pdf. But manuals can be downloded from the web site.

Net routers are best, and i say this because i personally use it myself and also because family abroad get the netgear router with their broadband packages and it has worked perfectly fine for them.

I am using the Linksys WRT54GL, note the L which is a Linux based router and not the normal WRT54G

it is expensive but the best part is you can load 3rd party firmware which has tons of features which might not be available in the normal version. it is rock solid and very stable

If u just want a wireless router nothing else you can go for any cheap one
