I had go for an internet connection, what do I do?, a serious no no to the dial up.
So zeroed in to hathway, as I know what cable internet meant to other providers.

No DSL from dishnet, it can better give that amount for charity, I’d better be happy with that.

As we are 4 ppl staying in a rented house, we went in for the 1GB silver value package,
Had hell of a time to know that they provide the connection to our area, the customer service person said, there is no connection our place, (we live in frazar town, near blr east station), we were surprised to hear that, after 4 to 5 calls to the cust service.

We fought with the cust care saying that we have a hathway cable running right on top of our house, and they were not able to sight any more reason to prevent me from getting a connection.
Finally after 2 to 3 visits to the office in bangalore, which is pretty near to my house, found the exact reason , that there was some problems with the local cable operator, as he was demanding some loyalty fee..........................................

So sorted out this part of the issues, and finally got the sales rep to my house, he was very helpful and got the connection within a week.

After that I have changed the packages a couple of times and had no problems with hathway till now.
Even now am planning to go for the hathway256 package, newly introduced from Aug1, which gives a download speed of 256Kbps and download limit of 500Mb.

Speed is more important for me than the download limit.
As for as the service and downtime, i have had no problems with it.
The quality of the connection is very good.

So Hathway ppl are improving in the quality of service they provide, the customer service have definitely improved from what they were 2 yrs back.

So I recommend this, a good and wise thing to do.....
