IMHO, this is good enough in India (at the moment) if you download and surf !
Ive been using Emule to download MP3s and speeds of ~4KBps in it are attained.

Browsing hasnt been a pain either.
A little slower than my office connection but nothing starkingly palpable.

Speeds in excess of 80Kbps were attained using DAP Download accelerator!
Speed Tests show 65% - 80% of stated speeds are attained.

Im more or less satisfied with the service, although I also agree to the fact that Hathway could have improved their service realising BSNL’s Broadband service is due around the corner (15 Jan 2005) .

Summary :

Overall there was no cause for expletives to be used.
Installation was least intrusive despite the cables.

Readers are requested to rate this article and also indicate strategies for Speed Test to get comprehensive information on overall network performance! Existing test , I assume does not contain all the required information as it has been made on a single day.
