I have a hathway connection for the past 1.5 years (at that time no other broadband services were available in our area).

Though it a 256kbps connection but the speed was never more than 30kbps.
The service is very poor.

Problem (s):

1) Though they have a 24 hr customer care but the problem would be solved only after 24 hours. They are just too helpless to rectify problems after 7:00pm.

2) Though in my plan 1 GB is provided as free download but to my surprise my bill had a extra charge for 700 KB.I had to follow it up with un-courteous bill department for almost 5 months to get it rectified. Here i’m not counting the charges for local call and my valuable time spent in calling them for this follows up and the stress i went through.

3) For the past couple of months they are in a spree of saving their bandwidth. The net does not work from 8 :00 am to 10:30 pm. If you call the customer care their standard answer would be ’’ your modem is not online’’ ’’ there is some cable problem’’ or ’’my technical person will call you back’’ which never happens.
Even after repeated calls they will have no new excuses to give. And you just have to wait at their will and wish when your connectivity would be establised again.

Again for the above I have not accounted for the local call charges and the stress.

Solution: finally I have decided to switch services to another service provider
