    Default Exercise Time

There are many people on India Broadband Forum who exercise/workout!

What all different types of exercises/workouts do you do and how long do you do them for.

I do one hour walking and try to do as much yoga as possible (which at the moment is max 15mins, but looking to increase this to 1 hour)

An hour at the gym either in the mornings or in the evenings is usual for me. I am not into body building just playing with the machines for weight reduction.

    Initial 10 minutes warming up.
The next minutes is divided for universal bench press, pecdec, lateral pull down, seated squat. I do total of 50 for each of the machines with 10 steps at a time. Slow and easy. Takes about 40 mins to complete. Finish it up with some abdominal exercises.

I use to go to a gym some time back but not anymore.I have no delusions regarding my physique.I think the best way to stay is breathe fresh air everyday.I jog every evening for about 45 minutes and that keeps me fit both mentally and physically.

its true you dont really need to go the gym to stay fit and healthy, like you said justcurio.us a jog or even fast walking everyday can do a miracle of a difference, and within a week you will notice the change in your health!

While that is true, by going to the Gym, you will see many others working out and hence you will be encouraged to follow pattern. If one has discipline, anything is OK like jogging, brisk walking for 40-45 mins, climbing a hill, home exercising, etc. But "self-discipline" is the key and that is where the problem rises.

If you have paid for the gym, you will be at least motivated, if for nothing else, then to just recover your money's worth. And a good Gym instructer will keep tab on your attendence and make you a regular. Just my 2 cents.

The gym guys have formulated the schemes like that. If we opt for monthly payment, we need to pay 250/-. If we opt for yearly payment, we need to pay 150/- per month only. Plus we get the advantage of visiting the gym at any time we are comfortable with. With monthly payment option, we are allotted a certain time and we should be preset in there at that time..

This is how the nearby gym functions..

well ... the rules are a bit different in gyms here in kol .. specially near to my home .. we need to pay a joining fee of rs.250 and the monthly fees is rs.200 ... i.e the first month costs rs.450 ... also if we discontinue for more than a period of 6 months ... our membership gets invalid and the process must start from the beginning ... i.e. again pay the joining fee ... and there are no such time constraints ...

To be regular at the Gym, you need to have a buddy. And lot of self discipline. I too miss the gym at least 2 days a week.

If you take care of your teeth, they will help take care of you because teeth is very important for goof health. Strong, healthy teeth help you chew the right foods to help in your life. They help you speak clearly. And through good teeth look your best.Clean your teeth after eating by toothbrush . Use a correct toothbrush. Don't use tobacco products because they can increase your risk of gum disease and cancer of the mouth.

Generally, it is not recommended to gym in the evening.

There are enough websites that will give the same advice.

i have done some pretty extreme things back when i was riding BMX+street trials(that was 2 years ago).used to run 9.75 kms in 50 minutes everyday, did that for 1.5 years.other than that i used to do over 550-600 situps over the period of whole day.plus for mid section used to do a combination of plain and modified crunches a total of 210 nos in a single go.i own DVDrips of a fitness routine named "elite commando fitness, krav maga" used by israel special forces.i used to weigh 59 Kgs.now i weigh 75 Kgs add to that an increase of 4 inch waist which totals at 32 inch.

now that i am not riding,i don't need to keep up with an extreme fitness routine.but i plan to start riding very soon.now am in the process of building myself a new street trials hardtail from a company named fireeye bikes.

if you want i can upload pictures of my bikes(3 in nos),which i have destroyed over a span of 3 years at a total cost of over 30 grand.

I wake up at 6am in the morning and I practice Qi Gong, which is the Chinese mental and physical healing exercise for 25min. After work, if time allow, I'll go to evening jog for another 30min.

This keep both my mental and physical healthy and active all day long
