    Default Food Diary

    Ok, guys because im on the forum a lot, it thought it would be good if i kept my food diary online, to keep a track of the food i eat. The reason for this would be that i want to know how much i eat, and stop myself from eating junk food, and get a bit trimmed and toned up! Anyone can join in if they want!

    Dont know if this is a good idea or not, but lets see how it goes!

    Woke up late so had lunch, which was saag and curd (curd had cucumber in it)

    Today I've had half a portion of rajma and chawal!

    One chocolate chip cookie (yeh i know should not have had it)

    2 cups of tea!

    Think u should cut down on caffine

    Yeh i know, i was thinking that i will have a third one yet!

    What does too much caffeine do, i mean if i cut down to one cup a day, how will it benefit me?

    You meant a total of 2 cups in the whole day?

    That won't do 'much' harm.
    But it is always best to not go into addiction.

    and another think i dont add much milk, less than three quarters, and also a mistake to point out its not a cup its a mug i drink in!

    I have heard that black tea (or tea with less milk) reduces chances of heart problems....
    So, it is always OK to take 2 or 3 cups of tea...
    But, it may also cause some problems to persons having certain health problems..
    I exactly don't know what they are....

    You can take 2 -3 cups if u drink Green Tea .... the conventional tea is nt such a good idea if u drink too much ....

    Rameshjee can u open a thread on the ill effects of drinking too much tea ? .... think u can do it better than me

    Yes i've heard that green tea is good, i tried it once, tasted a bit yuk! Im not too fond of black tea to be honest!

    Tea has antioxidants that is supposed to be good for you.

    i did not say tea was bad for ur health ... just that too much caffeine is bad for ur health [Black tea]

    today was day off day as it was lohri, something which i celebrate.

    So here goes the list:

    made aloo tikki's, which i had in a burger bun with mixed salad

    had homemade momo's (like i mentioned in momo thread i would make them today)

    made stuffed tomatoes (which had a filling of paneer) and also stuffed shimla mirch

    made a weird dish which comes between paneer tikka and stir fry, anyways it had paneer cubes, small cur veg of green pepper, onions, tomatoes and mushroom

    made gobi wala pakoras

    and made some kheer

    i had made all this variety as i had 3 friends round, so didnt eat it all on my own!

    ive heard of patra, what are the ingredients of it, as ive never tasted it!

    Today i had chappati and saag mid afternoon, then had some gobi pakora's, and dinner was dal and chappati! And now im having some tea!

    Just the kind of thread I was waiting for... Best thread in this section so far... Rep added... :thumbup1:

    I had omlette-curry(prepared by me), chapatis and some rice for lunch... A party got cancelled... nothing for dinner :sadfeeling too lazy to go out)... Will have maggie and eggs(again ) in sometime...

    P.S.- I was thinking along the same lines (about this topic) some-time back... Nice way to find out eating habits of people from across all of India!

    glad you liked the thread, yes it is interesting to know of everyone's eating habits as there are people from many different places in India!

    Well, here in kolkata, we mainly eat rice at meals. It is complimented by several side dishes (Dal, chicken curry, veg fry, veg curry and so on ).

    Morning : woke up at 2.30pm which is not exactly morning, so went for a shower and then ate my meal of rice/dal/potato fries/and some fried chicken.

    at evening went out for a drive with a few friends and had some pizza.
    when got back, mom made me swallow a bowl of mixed soup, Ughh

    at night, the same meal as I had at afternoon. Pretty dull, eh.........
