    Default Exercise Buddy

Ok yes i have another thread related to fitness!

This times its serious, i have totally lacked out on my workouts, and was wondering maybe having an online buddy for workouts would help.

Its just so the motivation gets going and a record is kept of what workouts i have done in the day!

For the past 1 month i have not done any exercise, was a bit stressed and now i really need to start it!

    Exercise Buddy definitely helps.

    1. Sometimes you feel too lethargic to go to the gym. Having a buddy inspires you.
    2. A buddy can make the whole routing interactive and involving. Get rid of the boredom.
    3. The two buddies can inspire each other to stretch the last mile.

Agree with all of your points especially point 3, as even when its 10mins left you sometimes give up, but when with someone, you complete the whole workout!

So no one going to be my online buddy?

Weight control is not the issue really - when I was in Abu Dhabi, I put on massive and touched 90 kg. But I lost weight gradually by diet control and came down to 85 which was steady till I joined the gym. Now I am 77 kg.

My main motive is to keep fit and burn calories which otherwise get accumulated due to sedantary life style and middle age. Also, there is a diabetes history in the family. My triglicerides level was 170+ which is now down to 92.

    My workout is as follows:

    - First 10 mins - Warmup: marching, normal squatting, 20 push ups
    - Next 20 mins - Some weights, leg press, bench press, upper shoulder/arm/triceps, squatting with 30 pounds on shoulder. No heavy lifting
    - Next 15 mins - Cardio. 10 mins treadmill at speeds 6-7 kmph and then 5 mins cycling
    - Next 10 mins - Some Abs and Yoga (nothing strenuous)

On Saturday, I also try 15 min sauna after exercise (sometimes).

yeh sure smooth join the gang, na dont play football!

I don't have time to go to the gym, and most of all i don't have company, so i prefer doing it at home then, rather no choice. But when at the gym you know you have to workout and it gets done!

I suppose 77kg is ok for a guy, but it all depends on your height too, if your bmi is ok then its ok, but because your main aim is to stay fit then its ok and good that you workout!

Me on the other hand, being stressed have eaten too too much lately, so it high time i burned the calories. Im quite an active person so can do exercise for long.
I want to try my old regime which was 1 hour walking, 45mins - 1 hour aerobics (which would cover the cardio) and then 1 hour cycling.

And hopefully something which i want to start again is yoga, but the main problem i face is doing it on a empty stomach, so its something i need to do in the evenings, and it will also help me to not eat for a gap of 4 hours!

I am working somewhat regularly at the gym. Not too good; not too bad.
