p.s I wanted to be a doctor. Got admission in a couple of medical
schools but family steered me into engineering ;-)

Then got interested in Law and am addicted to Law and Order.

Also had a lot of experience with relationships and romance
so there I gained a lot of knowledge ;-)

I am married and have a daughter so I stir things up in that department
over there in the womens forum ;-)

    ok ok .

Yes as all have said, if hypoglycemia occurs then the brain will stop working due to lack of proper supply of glucose to it, brain is the organ which utilizes 40-50 % of glucose what we take, so when that comes down,
Brain will stop functioning and sleep that is called "coma" where in we dont know when it will wake up or if at all it will wake up.
Even after that if glucose is not supplied to it, it will finally die.

    Normal glucose level (random) : 100 - 140 mg/dl

Even if glucose reaches the level of 500 mg/dl no problem we can bring back to normal without any pain. but if it goes below 50 mg/dl then its very risky.

Btw i want to know about this...

are all oily or spicy foods acidic in nature . If so what foodstuff can be considered as basic. I heard that tea is good for heath coz its basic and neutralises the acids or sth like that. and because of some radicals...

    Ill answer them in parts,

    Tea / Coffee

These two drinks have their own importance unfortunately nobody cares for it nor know what they were for,

Tea reduces the radicals in the blood and

    Coffee Increases the radicals.

In our human body we need everything even radicals. That is why ancient people introduced two drinks, depending on the radicals present in the blood they used to advice if they should drink tea or coffee but now a days its beeing taken as a social drink thats all. The taste which every they feel better they take it.

    Now about Oils and Fats

No Oil is acidic in nature they are non reactive lipo-proteins.
Why they become acidic is, it depends on the composition of the oil, like palm oil thicker in nature compared to refined oil.
Now when you take palm oil, the body needs more acidity to breakdown the molecules and take energy out of it, so our stomach produces more HCL (correct its Hydrochloric Acid) which has the pH of 1.5. Now this is required in more quantity so you will feel acidity thats all.

To reduce acidity best way is drink water, drink it every 15-20 min one small cup of water thats all. If you are hungry then drink a bit more of water.

thanks, but do tell me about this too "what foodstuff can be considered as basic"

and always in chem lab, we are advised to pour acid into water and not vice-versa, to avoid explotions, so how come drinking water is ok ?

ok ill give the list of all the foods which are acidic and basic.

Here a cup a of water means almost ~ 50 ml and the HCL present in the stomach is max 1-2 ml so no problem.

Even in chem lab if you were poring 100 lts of water to 1 ltr of acid then now problem

Just have a look at this site it has got all the answers you need about this topic

    Alkaline Foods / Acidic Foods

Check your self for iron deficiency

Here are some pics which will show you how nails look when there is iron deficiency in the body. Just have a look at them.

If your nails are in concave nature then you have deficiency

If your nails are in convex nature then you are just fine

    Sorry aaka for late reply.

    1) NO, i accept it that i dont follow all of the advices i gave, but why i give all those advices is nobody can do everything in the life same way nobody can follow everything. The main intension is not telling everybody to follow these but if you have any problem regarding something and if there is a tip here you can follow it. Just follow that tip and it will benefit you thats all. I cant just keepon asking who wants what tip so posting generally thats all.

    2) Yes i drink according to it. I regularly donate blood every 3-4 months once so everythime i donate i check my blood for radicals and according to that i plan my drink for the next 3-4 monts.

    More questions are welcomed
    (good aaka for showing interst)

Sometimes I feel sleepy thoughout the day and night, no matter what I do , what can possible be the reason for this ? (its not related to any stress or keeping awake, it just happens). Whenever this problem happens it lasts at least for a week ....

I have a question for you doc, for the past couple of days I am having some pain in the side of chest, its like a striking pain, it sometimes goes away and sometimes is there and hurts! I do tend to stress on some things and think about things, is this the cause? What could it be?

This can occur by many reasons.
    1) Lack of proper sleep
    2) Stress and tension (You dont have this problem)
    3) Lack of proper oxygen supply
    4) Improper food habits.(You dont have this problem)

    1) Lack of sleep : This is a condition where you think that you had enough sleep and you dont need it anymore or you sleep the same time say 6 hrs but you dont know when you had stress and need more sleep. This accumulates and later you feel drowsy for weeks even after having your regular sleep of 6 hrs.

Treatment : Although i should not say this and advice med's. Booze little more than your normal and have sleep. Intention of asking to booze is to give rest you your brain and get you deep sleep.

    3) Lack of proper oxygen supply : This is very common now in high polution cities. When there is lack of proper and pure oxygen to brain it starts to vary its function, and suppoting parts of brain to stop irregular activities of brain will ask the brain to sleep for sometime.

Treatment : Try to wake up early morning around 4:30 to 5:00 AM and go for a walk when the pollution will be very less and fresh air is available. In daytime or at work keep drinking water even if you dont feel thirsty and after a few hrs you should start feeling better.

If these two dont work please let me know, ill advice to get some tests done after which ill give proper treatment.

    thanks

thing is , so far it has happened only 2 twice in 2 years (once per year), so i'm not able to figure out any common pattern.

    PS: Rep++

Please explain the " Improper food habits " factor too ...

Improper food habits : This is a very rare case where the person will get drowsy all through the "day" .
This happens because of the heavy food the person has taken last night like heavy meat. It takes a lot of supporting factors to digest meat so when sufficient factors are not available the stomach stores the food material and will try to digest next when the body is working. As body needs more energy when its working the stomach will try to produce energy from the meat left over and supply it to body. To take the energy from stomach all blood will be concentrated to stomach and brain will not get sufficient supply of oxygen due to this and will feel sleepy.
