These are Not Indian standards. Most of them are same just slight variations.

    OK

    Age : 18 + to 60 -
    BP : 110/70 to 130/90
    Weight : Wohle Blood donor - 45 kgs & Component donors - 55 kgs
(generally it is 7ml / kg)
    HB : 12+

    rest all are same

    Now Donation frequency

    Whole Blood : 90 days
    Component : 90 days

as described in the above post about RBC,WBC,Pltlt etc.. this is not widely done in India here we take whole blood and then seperate its components there are only 7 places in India where direct componenet is extracted.

I might have heard this wrong but do they take the components/plasma
and then inject the blood back into the donor? maybe it was a movie...

What you told is partially correct.

Now a days systems have come which will draw the blood from the donor and seperate and take what is needed and then will send the rest back tot the donor, but this is automated process. There is manual method for this.

Else if like in normal once the whole blood is taken out then seperated and the left plasma normally will not infuse back to donor only if the donor is having some problems then it will be done but this method will be done 1 in 1,00,000 people
