    Default Height compared to weight!

    Hi, Do you think your current weight is correct for your height!
    here. . . .

    well, here is the calulation

    My height is 178cm, so i do the following calulation.

    (178 cm - 100) - (10% X (178 cm - 100)) = 70.2 kg.

    What do you do is, replace 178 with your actual height in cm.

    My actual weight is 71 kg, so my weight is correct for my height.

    Whats your's? plz post it.

    These calculations are for the average person. A person who is muscular will have a lot of weight indicating that s/he is overweight. But muscles burn a lot of calories, even at rest.

    My stats: 173 cm, 78 kg.

    As per the calculations, (173 -100) - 7.3, I should be 65.7 kg. I would consider myself underweight.

    No,no, i expected you ppl to calculate and post it here, no problem, will do the first few

    1 inch = 2.54 centimeters
    1 feet= 12 inch

    @Pri_dm so your 63inches> 63*2.54= 160cm
    (160 cm - 100) - (10% X (160 cm - 100)) = 54 kg.

    Your weight acc to height should b 54.

    @rupu 66*2.54= 167.6~ 168cm

    Your weight acc to height should b 61.2 kg.

    Height compared to weight, this can also be called as BMI

    BMI is "Body Mass Index". It tells you whether your body weight is appropriate for your height.

    BMI is a tool used to analyze a person's height and weight and determine wheather he/she is over weight, under weight or is healthy.

    If your BMI is

    Below 18: are very underweight and possibly malnourished.

    Below 20: You are underweight and could afford to gain a little weight.

    Between 20 - 25: You have a healthy weight range for young and middle-aged adults.

    Between 23 - 28: You have a healthy weight range for older adults.

    Between 26 - 30: You are mildly overweight.

    Above 30: You are overweight or obese.

    When comparing health there is no such thing as unisex. Requirement of calories of men & women both are different as per WHO.
