You have not been feeling too good about yourself of late. You have heard lewd comments being passed at parties and get-togethers about your recent weight gain. There are many people who are born heavy and start gaining weight from childhood. While it’s nice to look chubby while you are a kid, it is certainly revolting as you grow. No one likes to be around fat people. Being slim and fit is the new mantra every one around the world is adopting. If you are excessively over weight and are looking for ways and means to shed all those ugly pounds then you have come to the right place. Let me provide you with an insight on how you can lose weight and start looking gorgeous. The benefit of weight loss is that you begin to gain self confidence.



The process of losing weight is certainly not mysterious as it is made out to be. It is a very simple matter but you need to put your mind and soul into the process if you want it to work. What does it mean by losing weight? Losing weight is the process whereby you burn more calories than you consume. Simple isn’t it? However the process of loosing weight becomes a huge struggle when we begin to look for instant pills, diets and gadgets that will peel off all those extra pounds a or kilos from our body in record time. Keep in mind that this is never going to happen. There are no short cut methods to losing weight. It requires sheer determination and commitment on your part if you want to shed those extra pounds.

Don’t be taken in by all those fancy ads you see on television shows that promise of weight loss if you buy their gadgets or follow their diets. None of this is going to work. Did you know that you need to burn close to 3500 calories to lose a pound? For a kilogram of weigh loss you need to burn 7000 calories! How do you burn these calories is the next big question? Well to burn calories you need to perform physical activities. You also need to be aware of what goes into your mouth. You cannot exercise on one hand and at the same time be gorging on chocolates, cakes; ice creams sodas and fast foods. Listed below are some great ways that will ensure weight loss. Try them out and see for your self. But before you start out on the steps ensure that you have the latest photograph of yours stuck in a very prominent place say your refrigerator. This small act will help you in your weight loss program.

Exercising early in the morning before breakfast helps you burn three times more calories than you normally would when the exercises are done much later in the day. Take a brisk walk around your neighborhood or go jogging in a nearby park. Make you early morning exercise routine fun by listening to your favorite music while you exercise. Research has proven that your body continues to burn calories long after your exercise routine. A good nourishing healthy breakfast will ensure your energy levels are back in a jiffy.


Drinking plenty of water is recommended for those desirous of loosing weight. It’s essential that you consume at least three liters of water a day for best results. This will ensure all the toxins are flushed out of your body, help increase your metabolism rate and leave your skin looking gorgeous.

To get your body to burn more calories, you require working on cardio vascular exercises. Cardio vascular exercises increase metabolism rate and fat gets burnt much faster. A minimum of twenty minutes of cardio workouts is necessary. This can be done with simple weights. Keep in mind that you need to do a couple of stretches before and after the workout to help loosen the muscles.

Start your morning with a good healthy breakfast. It’s the most important meal of the day. This healthy meal will ensure you get all the necessary energy for your activities to help you get through the entire day and prevent any craving for snacking between meals. Your meals should contain wholesome food with very little carbohydrates and fats. Eat lots of fresh vegetables and fruits. If you do feel hungry in between meals reach out fro a fruit.

At the end of a month take another photograph of your self and compare it with the one you pinned up on your refrigerator. You will see the difference in your looks. This is a great motivator to help you loose weight.

You are right. The way to looosing weight is simple, but people seem to find it so difficult to do. I suppose motivation does play a huge part as well as having time to exercise.

I want to get more exercise into my daily routine, but with two children and work committments, life just seems to be getting in the way!
