I have really bad posture and want to know how I can correct it. I have really bad upper back pain today from sitting at the computer for too long.
Can anyone give me some tips on how to improve my posture?
Thanks in advance.

Science says never ever sit in same posture more than 30mins.
So tip is change your posture very 30min.
Dear Bubble,
The Gokhale Method consists of 8 simple techniques to re-learn how to sit, stand, walk, sleep, and bend-- movements that we perform wrong every day (and that is reflected in the 90% incidence of back pain in the U.S., as compared to 5% in other cultures). The book doesn't stress extra exercises or sell pricey products, it simply teaches people to move and sit and sleep with good posture.
"8 Steps to a Pain-Free Back" is highly acclaimed on amazon.com (read the 89 reviews!) and has gained an enthusiastic cult following. I would love to know what you think about it.
Andrea
Thanks for that Andrea. I will make a note of the title and go to Amazon and have a look.
No matter what I do I feel I'm not sitting correctly.
That's great info, thanks Andrea.
Another option is yoga. Certains yoga postures like dhanurasana, paschimothasana and bujangasana will make your back supple and correct your postures if practiced regularly in a sufficient span time.
What!? Is that for real? I think no one would be able to do that specially if you're already in a comfortable position. Like sitting in class for example. I always set my self in a very comfortable position when I don't have to move at all. And what about if we're asleep?
I know one which is very effective, very simple and scientifically true. Guess what you'll just have to do... Ready? Hang...That's right, just hang in a bar or something for sometime. The longer the better of course. The reason is that hanging your hands in a bar pull's your body up and the gravity pulls your body down resulting to stretching your body straight. Easy and effective isn't it?
Hang? Wow that's simple but seems to work. It remind me to orthopedic method/program ever practiced by my brother to increase his height. Hanging yourself (using a certain tool) is part of the method.
It does not seem to work it really works! That's the beauty of it really. Ha ha ha! Its a 100 percent method to make your body straight, not to mention that it can also increase your height.
