The Happening/Bank Job and Behind Enemy Lines

All three are amazing movies, The Happening is a thriller about the unknown. It frightens the watcher with the helplessness of its characters and their imminent doom.
Bank Job is a movie about a famous Bank Heist and how it ends up complicating the lives of all the small time robbers
Behind Enemy Lines is about a Nato pilot who gets shot down in a peacekeeping mission behind enemy lines and his survival
    All 3 are good!

Angry I spit on your grave(1978)

This is one movie which I won't recommend anyone to watch! Also known as Day of the woman, I spit on your grave is a movie which is very badly made...

Plot (imdb)- The film follows Jennifer, a writer who is working on a new novel and needs to get out of the city to finish it. She hires a riverside apartment in upstate New York to finish her novel, attracting the attention of a number of rowdy male locals. They catch Jenifer one day and strip her naked for the village idiot (Matthew) and rape her. Jennifer is later attacked and raped a further two times by the four degenerates, and her novel is also destroyed. But Jennifer slowly recovers and in her now-twisted, psychotic mind, she then begins to seek revenge on the four men who raped her.

Rating - Its a C grade hollywood movie...

P.S. - Its remake is releasing in 2009.

I am giving u repo jokerbala, just for watching "12 angry men". such is my love for that film.

Its Sidney Lumet's first film, a Henry Fonda production (he also starred in it), great all the way. Some people say that "Dog day afternoon" is Lumet's best film (even John Travolta had such a dialogue in Swordfish ), I totally disagree, "12 angry men" is Lumet's best film and its the best courtroom drama ever. Jokerbala, do u remember that jury member who wanted the boy to be hanged till the end , how did u like his acting ?? brilliant na.
Oh, great acting. Lee J.Cobb was his name. Such actors are hard to find these days.

Now that U have mentioned Dog Day Afternoon, I would like to watch that movie too.

Coming to 12 angry men,it was an unbelievable movie. When I read some info about the movie, they mentioned that just five minutes of the movie are filmed outside a room(the rest inside a room) and I thought this movie would be a bore fest but it completely blew me away.Coming to the performances, everybody was equally superb.

Dog day afternoon is widely available in all major shops. U wont have trouble trying to find it. Also try to find and watch the 1936 Cary Grant starrer "the amazing adventure", this will be hard to find but if u watch it, u will see how all the major film industries in India had been stealing from hollywood since the beginning. Its a great film, am not goin to spoil ur fun by talkin much about it.Just watch it, it was the golden age.

congrats on ur first post lordofdentist.

Eight below is awesome. Being a dog lover myself, I really really loved this film. Another fact is that this film is inspired from a real incident. those dogs were marooned there in the real life incident and later their trainer went back there to rescue them.

    Thumbs up

    Watched 2 movies lately:

    • Harold & Kumar: [Karl Penn, John Cho] Escape from Guantanamo Bay [2008]: Hilarious flick. Those of you who have watched their earlier movie " Harold & Kumar go to Whitecastle" will know what I'm talkin' about. Here these two potheads get mistaken for terrorists on board a plane after which they are incarcerated in Guantanamo Bay.The movies depicts their escape from there and the subsequent run across America. Movie is funny but could have toned down on the sex scenes. I woud'nt recommend it as famiy entertaintment but it is excellent stuff for individual or two individual viewing.
    • Enemy at the Gates: [Jude Law, Ed Harris,Rachel Weisz, Joseph Fiennes, Bob Hoskins, Ron Perlman][2001]. A fantastic movie with an impressive starcast. It depicts the story of a Russian Sniper,[Jude Law] in wartime Stalingrad and his epic duel with the German Uber Sniper Major Koenig [Ed Harris]. For those fascinated with Snipers this is the Bible. An in-depth view of what sniping is all about! And Rachel Weisz(Tania in the movie) is nothing but breathtaking! Don't miss this movie, folks!

    @maddy
so u have played "sniper elite" too. gr8 game, wasnt it ? did u play the hidden level which unlocks at the end ?
the best part about that game was slow mo bullet hit if the bullet hit a critical organ. I have played so many games with that special effect but somehow S.E. seems to be the best. A successfull hit gave me immense satisfaction.

I don't really remember whether I played the hidden level or not... but as far as I recall I completed the game... so, might have played it...

yeah, that slow motion bullet hit was amazing... and if it was a headshot, it was even more satisfying... do u remember what was ur longest range head-shot? mine was 1007 ft. or mt., whatever unit it was...

hard to b'lieve? its only possible once at a later stage... but people don't really know about it... and usually miss the opportunity...

For me sniper elite ranks as high as MOH allied assault.... both were great games of their times... I can replay them even now...

Quite true. We were so excited about this game back in 2005. Ah, good ol' days...........
They dont make games like this anymore. Almost all the 2008 games are worthless inspite of their glossy DX10 crap.
Even COD 2 borrowed the sniper stabilizing button ( stop breathing button ) from Sniper Elite.

    Hi folks,

I recently watched the movie "Appaloosa" and would like to share my opinion: A western film made in 2008, it stars Ed Harris, Viggo Mortensen and Renee Zelwegger.Appaloosa is centered around lawman Virgil Cole (Ed Harris) and his deputy Everett Hitch (Viggo Mortensen), two friends who are hired to defend a lawless 1880s town from a murderous rancher (Jeremy Irons). Their efforts are disrupted and friendship tested by the arrival of a woman (Renée Zellweger).

What is different about this movie is that it is not like any other run of the mill spaghetti westerns. Of course, there are gunfights, but the story revolves around the relationship between the two friends when they fall for the same woman.

Ed Harris, as usual, delivers a great performance as the no-nonsense gunslinging lawman while Viggo Mortensen is quite cool in his role as Ed's sidekick. Those of you who have seen Handango will be familiar with the wry and wisecracking Viggo. No need to say anything about Renee's performance. She is as briliant as she was in Cold Mountain. Jeremy Irons plays the bad boy to perfection.

On a scale of 5, I would give a 4 to this flick. Go for it folks....you won't be disappointed. Axxo rips are available, but for the effect, you should watch it in a multiplex.
