I tried watching the first one some time back...& honestly I got lost with the story after half an hour.
Anyone here read the LOTR books...they're quite complicated I heard.
But the movie just rocks...better than Harry Potter in the fantasy genre I think. What say ?

u dint read the 1st one...
u missed the intro..wonder how could u connect then...
but the movie only after u read the book...

the last book is definitely the best...but too dark for a childrens book i'll say.

Yes> i did miss the intro..
    But I know the hapenings..
And Rowling has done a great job, because anyone reading any of the books would understand atleast 80% of it, because there are repeated explanations as to what many things there, are..

Just like Harry Potter the books are better than the movie ...... Because the book was too long they skipped many parts of the story in the movie ......They even changed the plot a bit in the movie

some of the changes i remember

In the book Saruman [Bad guy/Wizard ] dies at Shire not Isengard

There was also no mention of The "Rangers" who accompanied Aragorn to the last battle in the movie

Elfs never fought in the last battle ...but in the movie they come to aid Aragorn and co

@saurav, You must be out of your mind to like HP-POA. In my opinion (and many echoed this statement), it is probably the worst of the lot. As a book, it is probably the second or third best. But of course, you are entitled to your opinion.

it was shortened so much..i believe it too should have been made into two parts..so many amazing parts were just cut short.
