Thread: Review : The Bank Job

Introduction

This movie is about a sensational Bank Heist in London .Starring Jason Statham of Death Race and Transporter fame , and i remember seeing the heroin in Troy . Its a nice movie and worth a watch .
But i thought the story was researched poorly , it sounded improbable at times . Imagine my shock when after seeing the movie i found out that it was a real life incident ! ! ! .
The movie producers made the movie allegedly to reveal the truth about many things which till now the british Intelligence has tried to keep hushed up .... For example a sex scandal involving Princess Margaret .
, a Bribery scandal involving the Scotland yard and London police ,politicians etc , and a plan hatched by MI5 to protect the royal family involving petty crooks which goes to hell .

It was known as the infamous "Baker Street Robbery" [refer wiki] ........And the movie more or less sticks to the original story .....

I ll give it a 3/5 stars ....

Easter Egg

During the robbery , a guy was posted atop a building to watch out for police , this guy communicated with the robbers using a walkie talkie .... This conversation was captured by a radio ham operator who accidentally tuned into their frequency ..... It had been uploaded in the internet and i found it !!

ohh yes its a nice movie and i really like the planing of these guys.
the tunnel from shop to locker room of bank and then going back from same tunnel again
apart from the guy who was standing on top of tower to keep a watch on bank from outside

TROY had a heroine - I do not remeber heroin in the movie.

As far heist type movies go, The Great Train Robbery is my all time favourite.

I am referring to Hector's wife ... she comes in the bank job too
