Rep Power: 7 | If you want to see a film series that shocks you out of your senses, then check out the famous or shall I say infamous, ‘Saw’ series. The ‘Saw’ series is a popular horror film franchise that was created by the director James Wan and screenwriter Leigh Whannell. The ‘Saw’ series revolves around John Kramer, who is dubbed by the media as the "Jigsaw Killer". Kramer is a dying man who kidnaps a series of victims. He places them in a set of deadly and elaborate traps that are designed to test them. John Kramer provides them with an opportunity so as to make them repent their former lifestyles because he feels that they took their lives for granted. The series is especially notable because each film in the series concludes with a twist ending that wraps things up. The ending of every film creates more questions that are further answered in the following film. There have been a total of five Saw movies released till now. The latest film was released on the 24th October of this year. Each film in the series has been released with an R rating given by the MPAA. Each of them was originally rated as NC-17, apart from only Saw V, which received an instant R. Each of the releases of the films made to date was released in the theaters in the consecutive years. The release date always falls on the Friday that is right before Halloween. Since the films in the series was heavily rated by the MPAA, the producers came up with the uncut versions of each installment. These installments were then released on DVD, in the following October before the next installment came out. The only exception in this case is Saw IV. |

| Platinum Member | yup, saw is definitely one of the most disturbing movies i have ever seen. But somehow, it is far above than other such-screamers because of its story. Great acting, nice photography and awesome direction makes it one of the best in its genre. |

Rep Power: 1 | to those of u who haven't watched any of the saw movies,I would suggest U see only the first saw movie, coz only that movie has good screenplay which keeps u guessing and takes u by surprise at the end. ![]() once u have seen the first one, the rest in the series get repetitive. |
