    Thumbs up Review: Slumdog Millionaire

    Review: Slumdog Millionaire

Ever since I heard about this movie, I was very eager to watch this movie. Finally yesterday I saw the movie. I must say, “What a movie”. One of the best movies I have ever seen. Its a must watch movie. Don't miss this movie.

The movie is directed by Danny Boyle. Its stars Dev Patel, Freida Pinto, Anil Kapoor & Irfan khan. It’s a beautiful love story. It deserves the awards & nominations it has got. This movie tops in the best movie of 2008.

About the story, it’s about Jamal Malik (Dev Patel) who grew up in the slums of Mumbai. He participates in the show “Who wants to be a millionaire” (KBC). Before he could answer the final question for 2 crores (20 millions) he is arrested by the police. Because they believe that he (Jamal) has cheated in the game. How can a guy (dog) from slum know all the answers? Actually he knew all the answers. The answers which he gave were some how related to his life. The flashback is simply awesome. We only know one side of our country which is economically developed. To know the other side, watch the movie.

I am sure you will all love the movie. If you are guys are interested in watching the movie. PM me, I will send you links.

Our Indian directors/producers make movies in the foreign...If you see most of the bollywood movies are set either in US, Europe, etc...

But an Foreign director makes an English movie set in India.....

    Will watch this movie

Very Ironical how our directors (read karan johar, nikhil advani, shaad ali)have their protagonists based outside India, when the best movies about India (read Gandhi,Slumdog) have directors from the west.
Its all about being an NRI nowadays.

Cool too good but A certified

a movie with a good story and music and acting. full marks to director and A R rehman. But not a movie to watch at home because of too slangs(made*****) used in the film. I am not sure what they wanted to say by introducing such words. apart from these the movie was too good.

@ dpk2008shm - the film does show some real things about India, and bad language of that sort is so common in India, people just use those words in their normal conversations!

Watched the movie, a very good one indeed, definatly recommend it to everyone to watch, every person in the film has acted very well!

i saw this movie a month ago and really liked it ... but some parts of the movie really disappointed me as an Indian ... the movie seemed to me to be like buttering the americans for getting awards ... reflecting only the darker sides of indian community ... afterall is India all about slums, beggers, prostitutes and cheats? ... NO ... there are better things about india ... and none of those were reflected in this movie

I agree with "Saurav",the film portrays India in a negative light. Why show only negative things?Perhaps, thats' what the west looks at us.We are a developing economy and things are getting better each day.If you look at the movie from creative side then it's a brave attempt, music is fantastic and all the actors have done justice to their part.
