It might just be easier to say that these 5-10 movies are not
based on Hollywood movies. Everything else is a copy. ;-)

Add to that the number of remakes, pseudo remakes of old hindi and south movies and u can see the dearth of ideas that the current script writers have

    One more:

    Love Actually - Salaam-e-Ishq

    Some minor corrections:

    2. HouseSitters (Chori Chori) ==> It Happened One Night (Chori Chori, Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, Jab We Met)
    88. Mrs. DoubtFire (Chachi 420) ==> Chachi 420 did take the base idea, but the story was completely different

    And how could you forget:

The Seven Samurai (The Magnificient Seven) +
Once upon a time in the West = Sholay

    The list is endless.

Thanks for appreciating... I guess plot of scarface and agneepath was same but agneepath wasn't totally rip off of scarface...You can have that much leniency Unlike all other movies who are totally mirror image of hollywood flicks

    P.S
Agneepath is one of my favourite..

    Thumbs up

Good work gothic... Even I didn't know about so many movies... Guess I've to watch many hollywood movies which are lying on my external HDD... Tonight its gonna be Scarface!

But I fail to understand why people are voicing so much against Indian directors/writers... Generally speaking, we know that very less percentage of Indian population watch hollywood movies... So, in a way these guys are doing a wonderful job in bringing the international movies blended with desi flavor to our cinema theatres...

Almost every kid in India has watched Sholay... But how many even heard about "The Seven Samurai (The Magnificient Seven)" or "Once upon a time in the West"? Mahesh Bhatt has been one of the biggest copy-cats... But his movies are watched by millions across India with lots of interest... Same can be said about Anu Malik & Preetam!

Personally, I don't prefer to watch an Indian movie if I had already seen its hollywood version... But I've nothing against the directors/writers/composers who try to steal the show from hollywood (Or any other wood)!

    Thanks maddy...

Yes absolutely i don't have any problem in getting inspired and picking up some good flicks, But when ask(Directors, Writers, Musicians) they vivdly deny everything of copying. Pritam even said it was coincidence that my song was like that korean song

I mean wtf, any DEAF can tell that it was pure rip off .. He(Pritam) didn't do anything on his own...

IF YOU'RE PICKING UP SOMETHING, DO GIVE THE CREDIT

Bollywood is inspired by Hollywood... and they dub the films from English to Hindi and make a wonderful action movie to a comedy show...! which surely will be a utter flop...!
