I saw this movie yesterday night.

The movie is quite fast paced. For the action oriented people this is a boon - The Da Vinchi Code was sometimes too slow. But for purists (like me) this means some slight disappointment, this meant that important details were never covered.

The base plot remains the same but the beginning is changed quite a bit (Robert Langdon never visits CERN). There are some subtle changes too but I was hoping for the scene where Robert jumps off the aircraft without parachute and survives - it was omitted.

But enough said - I am giving the plot away. Note that even purist should like the movie inspite of the missing pieces. I recommend that you see the movie for yourself.

a movie mirroring the story will be boring ...... if u have already read the book

but i am def intrigued to know that a key element of the story i.e the jump is missing !

I watched this movie few days back. The movie is really good and never felt like a bore. Great adaptation by the Director. Tom Hanks does justice to his role. However, the Israeli actress Ayelet Zurer's role as the lead actress is just for the namesake. Her character in the book had more weight than what this movie depicts.

I too watched it yesterday and liked it a lot though the Director did not stick to many of the things in the book- like the motive of the Camerlengo for murdering the Pope or the reason for killing the preferetti were not brought out. However this movie was better than the DaVinci Code where the movie was very poor compared to the book. I was enthralled to see all the churches and the monuments in Rome as described in the book.
On the whole the movie according to me is " a must see" one
