|  Review : Hunger A movie about the Irish Struggle for independence against the British ...... It follows the life of an IRA prisoner in a British prison in Ireland , its a little difficult to understand the story at first partly because there is little dialogue in the beginning and partly because English with Irish accent is nearly impossible to understand ..... sometimes i was nt even sure what language they were talking in , so its advised that you use sub-titles .They do also speak a few words of the Irish language (?) ....... but 98% of the movie is in English . Its one hell of a movie , it ll def leave you very very disturbed ..... watch it only if you can stand disturbing scenes ...... like torture ......In fact after watching the movie i did nt feel very well for the rest of the day . Especially since i came to know that it was based on a real story . if you feel adventurous , watch the movie ...... try to resist the temptation to read the story before watching it .... Cuz one of the strong points of the movie is its story ...... and dont forget the sub-titles ! |

| hey thanks and one more thing the movie was aptly named if you are really really adventures , try watching the movie on an empty stomach ! ..... i ll gaurenttee u that u ll be sick  (+ you ll never skip a meal again)dont ask why and dont try to find out  just try it |

| Just now completed the movie..Amazing direction by Steve McQueen, and too good acting by actors, at some part of movie when he started the hunger strike Chritsian bale's "The machinist" strike to my mind, he looses too much weight for that movie... I'll give 8.5/10 |

| You can watch any movies i suggested in this thread: http://www.indiabroadband.net/hollyw...-all-time.html (Best mystery movie of all time?) Satisfaction Guaranteed.  I would have added more there, but couldnt as bumping is not allowed.  If you like Mystery/Thrillers: Some other suggestions: Fargo Fallen The oxford murders The alphabet killer Awake ..
