Thread: Harry Potter VI

I am not going to be first to review it as people are going to be mad at it. So review this movie.

Decent movie. But no match to the novel.

I was fooled by all that hopla surrounding its amazing special effects which I didn't find after watching it. I like the novel very much. Don't know why fans are not protesting all those twisting of facts in the books.
Overall this film is really good but if you have read the book , you are not going to like it.

i have time again postponed my plans to watch this series. one of these days i'll finally strap myself to a chair and watch harry potter and the philosophers stone and see what the fuss is all about.

Worst movie of the entire series...

It was the worst adaptation of the book till now.

I think 4th part was worst adaptation of the book.

I agree. The photography was great as usual, but the movie lacks all the excitement and the mysteries that the book opens. Like the memories about Voldy's mom that Dumbledore shows Harry. I was looking forward to see that.

And at the end, Harry is shown to be standing below the astronomy tower watching as Snape screams "Avada kedavra" and Dumbledore is killed. The truth is Harry was stunned, by Dumbledore himself... I think I'm happy with the book. Especially after reading The Deathly Hallows.

I have not watched the movie till now. But I came to know about the many deviations from the book.

I know that the movie has to be adjusted for time and important parts may be left put or cut, but why do they have to change it completely, is beyond me.

I shall reserve my further comments till I see the movie.

No Problems.

I think that it is a well made movie. I liked the overall approach.

Great: Special effects. Especially the cave.
Good: Follows the book to a good extent - about 80%.
Bad: Some important parts such as Tom Riddle's birth, relatives, and other such memories left out.
Kiddish: The Burrow being burnt.

I would say it was fantastic.

It is awesome movie of hollywood.
