Hi Guys,

IBF is like oxygen to me and i love this forum and this why i am sharing below info.

I am on a mission to watch IMDB TOP 250 movies and will update this thread about my views on every movie from the list.

Do let me know your views if you have already watched one.

Simply awesome. Now this is what i call "Creativity" or "Out-of-Box" thinking.... Superb Plot. I wonder why its at bottom 250 on IMDB list . Anyways, its the best animated movie i ever watched.

And i watched it on You-Tube. Thanks BSNL for providing double bandwidth @ no extra cost.

IMDB #247 "Rain Man"

Rain Man (1988)

Start of this movie is really boring staring 2 brothers ,Tom Cruise "Charlie" and Dustin
... Hoffman "Raymond". you might think of not watching it at all. However your mind will change when character named "Raymond" enters the frame. CLASSIC ACTING BY Dustin
Hoffman "Raymond". This movie is all about acting of "Raymond"- a autistic, but is able to calculate complicated mathematical
problems in his head with great speed and accuracy.

Their father has left his fortune to Raymond who doesn't even understand
what money is for. Charlie is enraged by what has happened and by his
father keeping Raymond's existence from him for his entire life. He
kidnaps Raymond from his residential home but then finds that Raymond
will only fly Qantas. The two begin a long road trip that will lead them
to an understanding of each other

Note : As IMDB list was updated , it added 1 movie "Ikiru (1952)" at 250th position, removed "The Lady Vanished" from 249 th position and hence i skipped those.

So currently downloading "Ikiru " as per list and from next post onwards it will be sequential.

are you really gonna watch all those movies !!!

seriously yes and ONLY on weekends

I have seen most of them. And I own DVD/Blu-Ray of over half of them. But good thread. I will post my comments when I can.

hey,
i also watch from the top 250 list,but i strictly stick to "romance" genre
but dude believe me,there are lots of other movies that i have seen which are jewels and still are not on the 250 list.
like for example
1. the english patient
2. garden state
3. elephant (what a new idea of camera work)
etc etc.
please do suggest some romantic comedies if u have seen or heard of,because i am a sucker for them.

IMDB #250 The Lady Vanishes ,: this need to be removed form the IMDB TOP 250 list ASAP

and

IMDB #248 Arsenic and Old Lace (1944) : OK one but definitely should not be in TOP 250 by any means.

anyways......i have almost seen 160 movies in IMDB list in last 2 years or so. with exception of 1 or 2..........i liked every movie, i seen.

I would say start from the beginning rather than the end
i already watched top 10
and i found pulp fiction to be the bost boring plotless movie
i know i would get some flak movie
i understand that its a cult movie,directed by quentin
but acc to me its not worth be be in atleast top 50

The Godfather (1972) is on second postion
& The Godfather: Part II (1974) on 3rd.

i saw yet again Godfather parts last night...
i like the GF III's last scene where the Godfather's daughter is killed..
thats the most touching scene in all parts,, and i think this only scene deserves an academy award for itself..


everytime i see the scene, i rewind it back again, time and time yet again.. i rewind it..
its a very sad scene.. and in the darkness i cry

I like watching them only in HD quality. I am trying to do a full HD collection so its taking me some time. I dont watch like you do but i do watch lot of movies randomly.

i dont know what you want to say.. maybe you are thinking that i watch many movies and everyday, but reality is completely different...

I dont watch movies or tv at all.. but if i hear that some movie is very good at story i definetly watch it...

i heard about Godfather back 10 years from now, i heard it from my elder brother, but i never got the chance to see it.. he watched it on his friend's VCP..

btw, i also like watching movies in HD, if available..
