Rep Power: 7  |  Branded Products There are so many popular brands, and most people actually go for the branded products, what are the reasons for this, and why is it that the branded things are more expensive. Everyone has different views or know the right reasons of why this is, what do you think why it is this way? And are you someone who always buys branded products and thinks that branded products are the best? |

Let us mention the appliance classes: - Fridge - Washing Machine - Microwave oven - TV - Music system - Home theater - Iron - Water heaters - Mixer/Grinders/Food Processor - tube lights/CFL lamps - mobile telephone handsets - even the most common electrical switches The list goes on. Are you really saying that you will buy unbranded stuff in any of the above classes? Even when it comes to assembled PC, you bet your money on quality/branded components.

Rep Power: 6 | I don't care much for branded item in case of gadgets. Only care about the support and reviews in websites. For Home appliances it's different. Only branded and one with best customer care service (from reviews). |

Rep Power: 7 | But sometimes the best of branded products sometimes really let you down! A think a good example we an related to is Admin's Whirlpool fridge! Although in some cases i do think that branded goods are important, it depends on the product and the brand too! Like for example although i have an Apple iPod, but i have faced a lot of problems with it, and after all its an Mp3 player with just the name, but was expensive than other Mp3 players which were of the same size, quality, style and GB and were not of known brand names. Rep Power: 7 | That's a point! But coming to think of it, is there such a thing of a product which doesn't have a brand, if not a popular brand a product would have some kind of brand wouldn't it? |

| Platinum Member | Come to think of it - every product will be manufactured by someone. It is reputation on quality/service/guarantee that will matter. It is a personal choice - but when it comes to appliances and gadgets, I will recommend branded products. |
