Default Cleaning LCD and TFT Screens

Everyone knows that LCD's and TFT's are not cheap, and its important to take good care of them by cleaning them in a proper way. But what is the proper way of keeping them clean, something if you just the yellow dusters the dust stays in the corners and its difficult to clean. Is there some kind of special product to clean the screens or what?

How do you people clean your LCD or TFT screens?

Whatever cleaning product you use, test it out in a very small area of the
corner of your screen and wait to see the effect and then use it on the
    whole screen.

I rarely clean my screens, they don't get dirty at all. but I have used the
following on my computer, laptop and tv screens
    - Swiffer
    - California Car Duster.

    -F

I use polyester handkerchief+colin to clean the lcd top surface.

But when using the above method I never spray the detergent directly on to the screen. I spray it on to the cloth and than gently apply it on the surface.

can you use something like colin on lcd and tft screen, i thought it would ruin them, them never used them on the actual screen themselves or by spraying it on the cloth.

I would be glad to clean the doctor's screens using sandpaper ;-)
Just ship them to me and I'll clean it and send it back to you.

    OK. Enough jokes.

Preeti, a spray such as Colin is perfectly safe. LCD surface is portected by thin glass.

    1) Never spray directly on the surface
    2) Spray some on soft tissues - available anywhere (the tisses that we use to blow our nose).
    3) Gently wipe the screen - do not apply pressure and no vigourous action.
    4) Best results are observed if you start at a corner and start wiping lengthwise or heightwise.

    i contest your statement..

i think colin has benzene which is not good for our screens....

it can also hurt the sides of our screens....

i think use lil of water is everything..

thanks for the advice J4K! Used the methods and way you told me to clean the screen and works fine. Its good you told me to start from one corner, otherwise the dust gets collected in one corner, if you dont use a the cleaning method you mentioned.

You can do vertically or horizontally. No problem.

Just do it the way we clean windshield glass with a manual wash/wiper.
