Today, most cellphone handsets are bundled with mp3/aac/wmv playing capability. Sony Erricson started the trend and Nokia picked it up from there. Most of the young and the hep (and maybe restless also) are going in for the music/media enabled cellphones so much so that pure music players such as the iPOD, Creative Zen, Zune, etc. are not selling that much. Maybe that was the prime reason of iPhone launch?
Media enabled cellphones have the added advantage of combining two or more devices into one. But do these cellphone music player provide the same quality as the standalone music player? Technical experts say that the quality depends upon the earphones and the source file only. So music phones are the way to go.
Do you think that music players will die soon?
