Thread: MyVU - watch video in private

While glancing thru the news about the tech world, I chanced upon this gadget known as MyVU.

The MyVU product looks like some cool sunglasses but that is where the similarity ends. The device can connect to any video iPOD via cables. Then you put on these "goggles" on your ears while the attached ear plugs fit in snugly to you ears. But the earphones could be uncomfortable to some.

When you start watching it feels like you are watching 27~32" TV in a dark room. The device runs of a Li-Ion rechargeable battery that is good up to 4 hours.

After reading through the documentation, I found that the screen has 4:3 resolution which is not good because the iPOD has 16:9 screen.

Cons:
This device is nice but expensive. It has a novelty factor but I believe that it will not be comfortable for watching long term, say a 2 hour movie. It may strain the eyes too much. Also at Rs. 11,500/- it is fairly expensive.

But if you have money to burn and friends to impress, then, why not?
