Lightbulb World’s first 3D Digital camera

Fujifilm has launched word’s first 3D camera. As a special Camera you can view the Finepix Real 3D W1. Already at photokina 2008, Fujifilm has introduced the 3D technology. Now with 3D camera, a photographer can capture 3D pictures and movies. The results can then for example in the 3D digital picture frames from Fujifilm considered without additional aids.

To make this possible two 3D real W1 lenses and the shot images are then placed in the camera superimposed. The camera contains two 3x optical zoom and takes photos with two 10-megapixel sensors. The picture can be printed on 3D holographic paper. 2D images are also possible, with gimmicks such as two simultaneous recordings, each with longest and shortest focal length are possible.

The Finepix Real 3D W1 will cost 500 euros (Rs. 34,600) approx.

Link : Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D W1 Datenblatt

Here is a sample picture of 3D image and 3D effect can be viewed by High-resolution 3D Printing on leticular sheet or 3D LCD monitor (I will discuss it on another thread).

    http://www.indiabroadband.net/member...-sample-2.html

Printing Technology for Production of Quality 3D Prints:

The Camera captures 2 snaps for single image from different angles for high-resolution, low- halation prints with lenticular sheets (sheet with cylindrical parallel lenses) that create the 3D effect. Advance Technology encodes and aligns the captured 3D image according to the pitch of micro lenses arranged in parallel rows on the lenticular sheet . Seen through the sheet, image data is perceived with a parallax effect. The result is a natural and beautiful 3D print.

    http://www.indiabroadband.net/member...3d-paper2.html
    3D printing Principles:
Step 1- When passing through the lenticular sheet, interlaced image data are separated into left and right images.
Step 2- The left and right eyes see the respective images.
Step 3- Parallax interprets the difference between the images as a sense of depth.

I'm eagerly waiting to see the pictures.

Are you going to scan them?

Which type of papers you used to print them? Are all 3 dimensions can be viewed on it?

I just developed in the normal photo labs. It has a viewer that comes
with the camera, but I think you can make one yourself, I'll take
a pic of the viewer and the camera also.

    .
Of course on paper it is only 2dimensions, it is just like 3d movies
(the movie theater screen is only 2d right?) it just seems like 3d.
You will just have a perception of depth, but it is real cool.

That is great and will be really appreciable. We are waiting to see your amazing work.

Well I had also tried and scanned few objects to PC. They can be viewed 3 dimensionally by rotating them through pointing device or arrow keys..

    Rep+ for neer001.

The only problem is the link is in german. Not a big deal as one can understand the tech specs anyway.

Is there any sample 3D photo available anywhere?

    link in English
    Google Translate

may be the "gallery" link in same site above.

Fujifilm's FinePix REAL 3D W1 camera may look like a normal digital camera, but it has two lenses and two sensors to allow it to take 3D photos.

What Fujifilm calls the UK's first 3D digital camera will be available in the UK in September and will cost £570 - although to view the images in all their glory you'll have to shell out the best part of a grand.

    @Farce

It will be more clear when you scan them from scanner.

They are very close to 3D photography as they are using same concept - "parallax". But they are more stereo than 3D Images.

Also you have to make much arrangement to hang the image on the wall and not possible to attach in your album book.

But if you can manage to print them on lenticular sheet (sheet with cylindrical parallel lenses) which principles are discussed earlier in this thread.

Great Job Farce.. and thanks for sharing..
