In the world of TV's LG has come out with a borderless LCD TV, yes thats right a borderless tv, which will come in models SL8000 and SL9000. The new design of borderless tv's gives the tv a new look and make it look more stylish and modern! The borderless design of LG's new LCD is a new step towards LCD's and will make other companies want to innovate their LCD designs too.
According to LG the new model has the state of the art back light LED technology which actually has a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 TruMotion 200Hz which reduces image blur. The LCD is available in two sizes 42 inches and 47 inches and it has invisible speakers.
The size of the LCD is also super slim, which makes it look sleek and ultra thin that it makes the look unique!

Now for the borderless design, which means that the bordering which usually stands out from the main screen wont do so in these particular designs. The screen will be flat and give the tv a thinner and sexier look. The depth is less than 3cm which gives an idea of its thinness!

Kindly clarify, if the above mentioned models are launched by Samsung or LG?
Because, Thread titles refers to Samsung and review given is of LG.

The borderless TV looks great. But is the design good in your opinion?

I mean the cabinet gives a sort of soft protection to the LCD panel.

Hi Kix,
I don't like it that much, especially it looks too angled and sharp at the
corners. I like a border. One of my TVs has a border which is a deep
dark glittering blue that I love.

p.s also you have to be extra careful packing it or moving it.

Yes, PF. And I also love some of the new TVs that have a cherry red garnish in the black border.
