Thread: iPod Docking Station

I have an iPod, and sometimes want to listen to songs I have on that on a speaker system, for which I know you can get an iPod docking station. But whats the quality of the docking station? Is it worth getting at all?

And are there different kinds of docking stations which have different features and all?

iPod docking stations with speakers are a great buy - especially while listening to soul music during bedtime by the side of the bed. I highly recommend it.

Good stations are available from Altec Lansing, Logitech, and even Bose. Walk into any Croma or e-Zone and you will find good ones. Listen to the quality of each and decide.

But on the whole whats sound quality of ipod docking stations? I didn't know that you can get different brands i thought only Apple provided them.

There are many players who are providing these docking stations. Choose your budget and select the best sounding that appeals you and within the budget. Do not go by names alone.

Do you already own a music system ?? If yes, please specify which model and make.

There are many ways in which you can connect your ipod to the music system, you don't have use a docking station.

You can connect your ipod to PC speakers. If you want really high sound quality, you can buy the altec lansing MX5021 speakers. They are a little bulky, an a bit costly (Rs6,500) but i can guarantee you will not be disappointed.

I have an Apple docking station that can connect to my music system.

But if you do not have a music system, or it is located in your living room and you wish a small system at your bed side table, then go for such a system. Some of them like this Altec Lansing model is quite cool to look at also.
