Plasma screens are known to achieve higher levels of contrast. Unlike LCDs, the technology consists of a series of small capsules filled with plasma to give life to the image. When it is necessary to present the black, the capsules are completely extinguished resulting in an almost perfect contrast.
There are small plasma TVs generally start from the 32 inches and can reach giant screens that exceed 100 inches, without significant price increase.
Per inch resolution is lower than in the LCD, which is why we see a grid when we are too close to the screen.
Pros:

Cons:
- Less resolution per inch LCDs.
- Reflections on the screen.
- Heavier Screens.
