LG KP500 Cookie review Yesterday i got a new cell phone, the LG KP500 Cookie. Its a full touch screen phone. It has a 3" touch screen which is really good. It also has a 3 megapixel camera. The picture quality is actually really good. But the software is what i liked the most. It feels really well made. There are 2 home screens. One for media functions and the other for all your contacts. The menu is split into 4 tabs.'Communicate', 'Entertainment', 'Utilities', and 'Settings'. Its really easy to use and understand.

You get a handy PDF documment viewer software that is pre installed. It also has a movie maker software. The games are actually pretty good. They all use motion detection and are pretty fun to play.Its got a drawing software that is really similar to MS paint. It comes with a stylus which is pretty handy.
The music on the phone is really good. Its not really loud, but much better than my old phone (the Moto Rokr E8). The quality of the sound is also pretty nice. The head phones provided are not that great, they are okok. The sad part is that it does not come with a 3.5mm headphone jack otherwise it would have been a really awesome music phone.
The video recording on the phone is bad. But that is due to the fact that it is save in .3gp format and not due to the camera itself.
It does not have 3G and wifi, so just forget web browsing on the phone. It can be done through CDMA/EDGE but it will be really slow and it may lead to hair loss !
Well, if you are looking for a much cheaper version of the iPhone and you do not want internet connectivity, this is a really good pick.
For a price of just Dhs649 (approx Rs 8100) with a 4GB memory card free its the best value touch screen phone I could find. Hence, this is definetly recommended if you do not need 3G/Wifi.
I will give it 8.5/10. At this price you cant really ask for 3G or wifi. Would have given it a 10/10 if it had(for the same price)
