You can improve image quality on an LCD computer monitor a number of ways. The first thing you should do when trying to optimize image quality is to make sure that the computer is set to the optimal (or native) resolution of the monitor. You will want to check your monitor's manual or search the internet to find your monitor's optimal resolution. After you have found out the optimal resolution you can change the computers resolution by way of the control panel in Windows operating systems. Another setting to look for is the refresh rate setting and ensure that it is set to the optimal refresh rate (also known as the flicker rate) of your monitor, this number will probably be 50hz or 60hz. If these settings are at their optimal settings and you still aren't satisfied, there are a few more factors that will effect picture quality. Firstly you should check your manual on how to reset the monitor and do so, this will clear up any odd picture quality settings. Secondly make sure that you have the monitor facing you at a 90 degree angle to your face, and also make sure you are directly in front of the monitor with your eyes level with the center of the screen. These are the most common difficulties with troubleshooting LCD picture quality.
