    Post Remote controls:

If television is the most sought out invention of last century remote is the second most. Nothing beats the coziness of sitting on your couch with a remote in hand and changing the channels all at a click of a button. Technology has always made life easier for us , remotes are another piece of technology helping you relay messages without the use of wires.

So how do these remotes work? Most remotes use infrared technology or radio frequencies. In infrared technology pulses of infrared lights are sent out and radio waves are used in radio frequency remotes. Infrared remotes have lesser range when compared to RF (radio frequency remotes)
Remotes of Televisions, ACs etc use infrared, which require a clear line of sight that is if there is something blocking the infrared pulses no task will take place. Remotes consists of one or two Light-emitting diode to send out pulses. Infrared remotes have a range of around 30 meters.

While radio frequency remotes use radio waves which can be transferred even through walls and other obstructions. Remotes using radio waves include alarm systems for theft and remote controlled toys (cars) . Rf remotes have a range of 100 feet which is way hight than that of infrared remotes giving it a greater advantage.

Your in a tech forum, and people really need to be told about remote controls! The world has gone far beyond thinking of remote controls and how useful they are!
