Default Can something be done with worldspace radio signal receiver (sanyo) and an antenna?

Hello all, trying to find out whether I can tune in to radio channels using my WS (worldspace) radio signal receiver and antenna. WS has stopped their services in India and since then set and antenna are just lying around...any way of reusing it..please let me know if there's a way...many thanks!

The antenna may be reused and refurbishd to make a DTH antenna. May be useful for DD-Direct. But then if you subscribe to any DTH, you will get the dish anyway.

As far as a the receiver is concerned, it can be used as a paperweight.

Sorry to be blunt. But you can at best hold on to the equipment with the hope that WS radio services start again.

Please give model number of the
    Satellite Band Sanyo receiver.
By reorienting the Dish as suggested by @Just4Kix, if the RX is not locked to WS
the frequency Band may be available.
Save me the trouble of "Googling "
DD DTH orientation is the best option now to get audio B/C channels.
or a convertor can be used .

Default You made it easy, thank you

Hello sir(s)...I thank you for the replies, I now believe that I should drop the idea of refurbishing/touching the set and antenna. That's because a lot shall be left to be desired as I was hoping, I could tune in to national/international radio frequencies, more like getting FTA channels on the TV thru custom dish, receiver sets etc.Which I assume is not possible with what I have. I shall now only think positive and hope WS get's back as the set is a little too big to be of any good at the desk.Cheers bye for now!

i have one BPL make Rx and the antenna. If we can get the datasheet for the Tuner and we can perhaps try to tune it for other bands like AIR sat stations, even if we need to use a down converter. As our friends said, DD direct comes with many Radio channels too. Thus any experimentation may be waste of time.
