OLED is very expensive size per size. It is still under evolution phase. How can you say that it is cheaper that plasma or LCD or backlit LED LCD?

Sony XEL-1 was the first OLED TV - $4000 for 15"

OLED screens are currently being used on smart Phones. The google Nexus one uses an OLED screen, but it has a major issue.

I was using the Nexus One today, it was all good in door, but the moment we went outdoor, could not see a single thing on the screen when under direct sunlight.

As for power consumption, its a fraction of normal LCD screens, but i think it can be compared to that of LED backlit TVs...

We are still a good 4-6 years away from OLEDs being affordable.
