    Default Monitor TV or TV?

    Hi...
I need a help from you guys regarding buying a Monitor TV or lcd tv.

I want to change my old TV( Optonica which is more than 14 years old ). I am using a 17" CRT monitor for my computer.
Recently i saw an advertisement in PCQuest of Samsung Konect Plus Monitor which can be used as TV also. One more offer that attracted me was that with that Monitor (which is 23", Full HD) one DTH with 3 months subscritption free is available. Th cost is about 15 K.

Shall i go for that monitor or an LCD TV? (one Panasonic 32" HD ready also attracted me which is about 19K INR only).

So according to you guys which one is better a 22" inch Full HD Monitor or 32" LCD TV. ? I want to buy Airtel dth HD also.
    Please give your opinions.

If you go for monitor TV, the unit will be most likely placed on the computer table. That will be a bummer for rest of the family wishing to watch TV only. On the other hand, if you keep the monitor-TV a long way away from computer desk, working on computer will be a pain.

If this is for pure personal use, then I will suggest monitor-TV. Else go for separate LCD TV.

I have used an LCD TV as monitor and its picture quality was poor compared to my 4 year old LCD monitor. Now you can either get a 32" LCD TV for more real estate or get a 24" or 26" LCD Monitor and get better picture quality. It also depends on the viewing distance, how big is the room and how far will you be viewing from ?

    Thank you for your replies.
I was busy with my work, so couldn't reply to your posts.

My PC configuration is as follows:

    AMD athlon quad core processor
    2 gb ram
amd m4aa785 td v evo motherboard with integrated graphics.
    500 GB Hard disk
    Windows xp/ ubuntu 10.10 OS.

At last i decided to go for Full HD monitor 23/24" rather than a LCD TV because I will use it mostly personal use. Please suggest me a Good one.
