Hi friends

Felt mild shock when I touch the connectors on the back of Philips DVD player.
Why do the TV and instruments like dvd player etc.. have only 2 pin power plugs (connecting to live and neutral).

The Sony TV that I have has small power plug pins and the plug is very loose when plugged. So I have cut the power plug and wired a 3 pin plug (although 3rd pin GND is connected). Will that be a problem ?
