Thread: Downloading programmes from DTH

I am based in Pune/India. I am having Samsung 29" AV TV.
Can I download programmes from any DTH on DVD or On Computor? If so what equipment/cabling I would require and How to do it?

You have two options, if you are a DTH subscriber, you can go with the HD recorder option, where in a hardisk in the setop box automatically records the programs, but this equipment is expensive. (Call the customer care no of DTH providers like Reliance, Airtel.. etc).

The second option is connecting your AV OUT from your TV to the AV IN of a video recording equipment. Do you have any DVR, else an old VCP/VCR will also do the trick. Else buy a new DVR.

Thanks a lot. Very Much appreciated. However would like to know whether this HD Recorder is built in or it is externally provided? I intend to go for TATA SKY + HDtop Box.As such will I have to request them to have this recorder seperately?

Note that you can only record programs in TS+ or any equivalent DVR. You cannot take them out and record them to a DVD, etc.
